Part of our Corten Botanical Series, The Grass Tree celebrates one of Australia’s most distinctive native plants, with its rugged trunk, cascading crown of slender leaves and towering flower spikes.

Grass Trees (Xanthorrhoea) are extraordinarily slow growing and can live for hundreds of years. Their striking forms have become a familiar sight throughout the Australian bush, particularly where their dark trunks and brilliant green crowns stand in contrast against the surrounding landscape.

Each Grass Tree is CNC laser cut from 2mm Corten weathering steel at Black Magic Forge. Supplied in raw steel, it will naturally develop the rich, earthy rusted patina that makes Corten such a striking material for outdoor artwork. As it weathers, variations in colour and texture mean every piece develops its own character.

• Large — 985mm high × 580mm wide × 2mm
