The Boab — Corten Botanical Series

A celebration of one of Australia’s most extraordinary and instantly recognisable trees.

Part of our Corten Botanical Series, The Boab captures the unmistakable character of the Australian Boab — its massive bottle-shaped trunk, spreading canopy and exposed roots giving it a silhouette unlike any other tree.

Native to the landscapes of northern Australia, the Boab has become an enduring symbol of the Kimberley and the rugged Australian landscape. Its unusual proportions and ancient appearance make it particularly striking when recreated in steel.

Each Boab is CNC laser cut from 2mm Corten weathering steel at Black Magic Forge. Supplied in raw steel, it will naturally develop the rich, earthy rusted patina that makes Corten such a beautiful material for outdoor artwork. As it weathers, variations in colour and texture mean every piece develops its own character.

Available in two sizes:

• Normal — 764mm high × 450mm wide × 2mm
• Large — 985mm high × 580mm wide × 2mm

Perfect as a feature amongst garden beds, against fences and walls, beside an entrance or incorporated into a native Australian landscape.
